Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua Cigar

The soft-pressed shape draws smoothly from the first light, and that #2 ranking from Cigar Aficionado is well earned—consistent burn and rich Nicaraguan character throughout. Definitely a special occasion smoke for me.

The soft-pressed shape makes this cigar feel really comfortable in the hand, and the burn was razor-sharp from start to finish. I can see why it earned a top ranking a couple years back—it's a smooth, flavorful smoke that didn't overpower me. Definitely lived up to the hype for a special occasion.

I was pleasantly surprised by how even the burn is on this No. 2—no touch-ups needed through the whole first third. The draw is a bit firm for my liking, but the rich, earthy flavors make up for it.
