Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Maduro

The earthy, rich aroma from the first draw really sets this maduro apart from other cigars I’ve tried. It burned evenly from start to finish without needing any touch-ups, which made for a relaxed evening. I’ll definitely be grabbing another box soon.

Bought this for a weekend smoke and the Honduran construction held up perfectly—burn was even from start to finish. Took off a star only because the draw was a bit tighter than I prefer, but the rich maduro character made up for it.

The maduro wrapper is rich and oily, giving a smooth draw right from the start. I wish it had a bit more spice in the first third, but it burns evenly and the smoke is satisfying. Solid choice for a relaxed evening.
